Both villages have a large public swimming pool. There is also a bus service to and from Velez Malaga on a daily basis. Nearby Velez Malaga is a delightful historical town with ample shops and restaurants and an excellent open air market every Thursday. There is also a large shopping centre with a bowling alley next door. The Water Park is open during the summer months and offers an exciting day out at very reasonable prices. Torre-del-Mar and Caleta have good clean beaches with many excellent chiringuitos and restaurants. A promenade runs along the Mediterranean coastline from Torre del Mar to the Marina at Caleta and is a pleasant walk or cycle ride.
