Apartment to rent in Little Haven, Pembrokeshire

Apartment/Flat

Description

Enjoy the delights of our two bedroom apartment in Haven Court located in the picturesque village of Little Haven, surrounded by the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and just a few minutes walk from the local pub and harbour. It is perfect for families as it is just 200 metres from the beach. Nestling in a wooded valley and located in the Pembrokeshire National Park, the apartment complex of Haven Court has been designed to complement the environment. The surrounding coastal area, with its rich historical heritage, offers activities ranging from walking and bird-watching to windsurfing. The village has several cosy Inns. The two bedroom, one bathroom apartment complements its rural surroundings and is comfortably furnished with all you will need for a great holiday with TV, VCR, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, one bathroom and two good sized bedrooms. The Havens is a coastal Community located on the southern eastern side of St. Brides Bay facing out west to the Atlantic and northwest to St. David’s Head and Ramsey Island. Most of the community area lies within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only coastal National Park in Britain, with its unique beautiful scenery, abundant birds and wildlife in an unspoiled natural environment. Little Haven is a village that really lives up to its name for it is just a little haven. With a couple of shops and a couple of pubs, it is not commercialised but is very popular with families in the summer. When the tide is out, there are clean sands to play on, rocks to clamber over, and a stream to splash in as well as the sea - just what young children want. The drying inlet that forms the Little Haven provides the focus of an attractive seaside village clinging to the sides of a steep valley. The Point Beacon gives a sweeping view of St. Brides Bay from St. David’s Head to Skomer Island. Part of the village is a designated as a Conservation Area. In common with most of the small bays and inlets around the Pembrokeshire coastline, Little Haven has been associated with sea fishing, and a small number of boats still work out of Little Haven, fishing mainly for lobster and crab, but also some mackerel and Pollack. Surfing and windsurfing are popular activities and sale/hire and tuition can be arranged. Over recent years sub-aqua diving is a growing specialist activity, with wrecks and islands to explore. Once you have exhausted yourself walking the coast path, watching birds and wildlife, indulging in water sports, or watching an uninterrupted view of a spectacular sunset, there is a choice of places to eat within these two villages, including pubs, restaurants and cafes. Our guests recommend the following: The beautiful beach and delicious food at the chip shop at Broad Haven. The pub and cafe at Dale - the beer at the pub is great and the food at the cafe is delicious. The meals at the cafe are very cheap and exceptional value for money. The all day breakfast is fantastic. Although the beach at Broad Haven is lovely, the tide goes out a long way and the sand is so fine that it gets into everything. We preferred Dale because, although it is mostly large pebbles, the sea hardly goes out, even at low tide. At low tide, sand is exposed and the sea, at that time, shelves very slowly. The Tafarn Sinc pub at Rosebush is worth a visit. The food and beer is delicious. On the way back from Rosebush, visit the nearby dam. There is a car park and toilets. The grass overlooks the dam and is great for a picnic. There is also a children’s playground. If you are anywhere near Carmarthen, the White Heart Thatched Inn at Llanddarog is an absolute must to visit. It is one of the most beautiful pubs I have ever seen and they make their own three delicious types of real ale.
